Have a say in what we buy for the teen section of the library, decorate the teen room, design the teen flyer, and plan all future teen events. Attendance counts as community service.

Every week we have chess games going for all ages and skill levels.

KNITTING CLUB – Wednesdays @ 6:00 p.m.
Bring your knitting supplies, have a seat and hang out with other knitters or crocheters. This club is open to all ages and all levels of experience. (And yes, guys knit too.)

TEEN ADVISORY COUNCIL APPRECIATION
Here is Marianne, Mira, Warren, and Kaelie who were active TAC members during the last year. Here they hold their appreciation certificates at the last meeting before the Summer Reading Club. Kaelie, who served all through 6th-12th grade was awarded a quill pen, ink, and a monographed pad of paper from the Friends of the Library. The TAC will start up again every 4th Thursday starting on 8/25/11.

IRON CHEF -Thur., Feb. 10th @ 4:00 p.m.
You’ve seen it on TV. Now you can compete! You’ll have a “kitchen” full of food and the secret ingredient will be revealed to you. Whoever makes a dish that most impresses the judges will win a prize.

TEEN AUTHORS JOHN GREEN & DAVID LEVITHAN VISITED LA MESA
John Green and David Levithan, multi-award winning authors visited the library on April 23rd for an after-hours event. They read excerpts from their new book, Will Grayson, Will Grayson, answered questions, made everyone laugh, and autographed books. There were over 140 people who attended!
